National School Counseling Week February 1-5!
From February 1 - 5, we will be hosting activities to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems, but, more importantly, to set aside time to connect with our students.
Miss DiDomenico and Mr. Pritchard will be celebrating #NSCW21 with a daily photo challenge on the Guidance Twitter page (@mayf_guidance) and will hold various virtual activities! See the schedule below:
Monday February 1: Movie Night! - Remember the Titans - 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- We will be livestreaming and collectively watching the film "Remember the Titans". This film documents a historic story of a 1971 high school football team in Virginia, as they began the process of integrating the school system. This film will be used throughout the week to discuss key school counseling topics of: Grit, Resiliency, Diversity, and Gratitude.

For 10th Graders: Career and Technical Center Virtual Visitations
There is a chance for parents and students to view virtual visits of the programs offered at the Career and Technical Center. These virtual visits will take place over a three week period and will be held from 2:20 p.m. - 2:55 p.m.
Please see the schedule below to know what day the program you are interested in is having their virtual presentation. The links to the virtual meetings are provided in the document.

Scheduling Conferences To Start This Month!!
Your scheduling conference is your one-on-one time with your school counselor to review your academic plan, graduation requirements, and plan post-secondary goals. Your school counselor will meet with you to make sure you are on track for whatever college or career goals you have in mind.
You can prepare for your scheduling conference by exploring your interests on Xello!
PARENTS: You are welcome and encouraged to attend these scheduling conferences. Please look for an email from Miss DiDomenico or Mr. Pritchard about how to arrange a time to come in for your student's scheduling conference.
