ATTENTION SENIORS AND PARENTS
On Tuesday, October 2nd at 6 pm, Mrs. Kamiab, Director of Financial Aid at UNCSA will be holding a financial aid workshop for us.
She suggested parents complete the following before they attend!
· Student/parent can create their FSA ID asap at this link: https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm. Both the student and at least one parent should create their FSA ID (if they don’t have one already) which will allow them to electronically “sign” the FAFSA.
· If they plan to complete the FAFSA that evening, I would suggest bringing their 2017 Federal Income Tax Return and 2017 W-2 forms, as well as their bank and investment balances as of that day (the date they will complete the FAFSA).
· In addition, they may want to prepare by printing and completing the “FAFSA on the Web Worksheet” at this link and bringing it with them:

Interested in QUIZ BOWL?
Quiz Bowl is a game in which two teams compete to answer questions from all general areas of knowledge including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, sports, popular culture, and more. It is similar to a team version of high school Jeopardy.
One defining feature of any Quiz Bowl is the buzzer system used by students to “buzz in” when they believe they can answer a question. The buzzer system gives Quiz Bowl a game-show like quality, which makes it fun and engaging!
We plan to meet one day per week directly after school until 4:30; and some members of both middle and high school will compete on March 2 in Knightdale, NC. We can take more than one team for each level, so be sure to spread the word!
Also, if you are currently participating in a sport that won't allow you to attend meetings right now but can join us after fall that is great too, please sign up and join us when you can!
If you think you might like to join the club, please include your information here, so we can notify you when we plan to host an informational meeting :0)
