Picture Day- May 3

All students will have their picture taken.

If you wish to purchase a package the payment must be with the order form at the time pictures are taken or you can oder pictures online at: mylifetouch.com You must us the Picture Day Id : EVTM94TFH

Remote students may also participate in Picture Day. Please call the school for information and to schedule a time to come in. Also, if you would like an original copy of the flyer and order form please call me at 781-310-5501 and you may pick one up at doon number #1.

COVID-19 Pooled Testing Program

Our pooled testing is going very well. This is an easy way to continue to keep all safe and healthy at Avery. If you have not already, please consider signing your child up. Click here; it takes less than 5 minutes. You’ll need our district code: dendrite-dedham.

Open discussion and questions from attendees to panelists and moderator

Breakout Sessions (45 minutes):

Attendee will be the focus of open conversations and the panelists will be listeners and facilitators. Each breakdown room session should strive to produce two recommendations as to what actions Dedham can take to best achieve productive race and ethnic relations in our Town. The breakout sessions will communicate their recommendations to Ms. Phillips who will recall the panel for open discussion of the recommendations.

Attendees will return to open discussion following the second round of breakout sessions to share feedback with the moderator. The moderator will help facilitate the discussion to culminate in recommendations for next steps the Town of Dedham can take toward building an inclusive future.

Avery Cultural Week-May 10- May 14

The PTOs of the Dedham Public Elementary Schools and ECEC have come together to share a Virtual Cultural Celebration Week. We hope to highlight the amazing diversity of our town and schools. To make this a successful event, we will need lots of participation from you, our families! More information to come—but for now— please help us with the following:


• Submit a special Family Recipe from your culture by May 3rd for our Town-Wide Cookbook • Click HERE to add to our town-wide cookbook


• Post a flag in your front window for our Town-Wide Flag Hunt game • Click HERE if you would like to add to our scavenger hunt


• Record a FlipGrid video for our Town-wide Story FlipGrid. Log into FlipGrid and record a video of your family reading a book or telling a story that expresses culture or traditions you admire and want to share by May 3rd

• Be creative, respectful and have fun. Videos must be 10 mins or less.

Avery's Cultural Night Picnic

When: Friday May 14th Free family event; PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED!

Where: Practice field next to Avery’s upper playground

Time: 5:30-7:30 pm


● Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner and have fun celebrating with other families!

● Entertainment from Avery parent MC Host Valcin, arts and crafts and a frozen treat for the kids!

● Event limited to 150 people due to Covid restrictions.
