Penngrove Press
November 13th, 2019
From the Principal:
Congrats to Elena Judson, Nicole Moran, Gina Benedetti, Serena Weaver & Rena Salazar. This week these “rockstar” teachers were awarded a Petaluma Educational Foundation grant of $5,865!!! Their grant titled “Diverse Classroom Libraries” will allow each teacher to purchase titles for their class/grade level that depict characters from diverse backgrounds. EVERY SINGLE Penngrove teacher took time to research the books that they want to purchase for their class. Once the books are purchased the teachers will introduce them at a weekly assembly.
These wonderful grant writers took time during their Fall Break to work on this lengthy application. This really shows the dedication of our teaching staff to the Penngrove students. Please thank these teachers when you see them on campus.

Reminder about Technological Devices From Home
Many students are bringing watches and other devices from home that allow them to text, call, or play games. District policy is that students are not allowed to have those types of devices on campus either during class or recess. When they are brought to school they prove to be distracting to both the student to whom they belong and to other students in the class. They are also liable to be lost or broken. Please help us by reminding your child(ren) that those types of devices need to be left at home.
