Adoption Studies
Adoption
Psychologists ask all the time if adopted kids will share more of their adoptive parents traits or more of their biological parents traits. One would think that they would inherit more of the adoptive parents traits because those are the ones they live with and spend everyday with. Amazingly though, after scientists studied this hypothesis they discovered that kids actually share more traits such as their outgoingness, their agreeableness, and so forth from their biological parents rather than the adoptive parents. Although scientists have found that most traits come from the biological parents, the adoptive parents still have a chance to give traits to their adopted kids due to a genetic leash. The adoptive parents have a big impact on the kids attitudes, values, manners, faith, and politics.
