Maus II: A Survivors Tale
By: Art Spiegelman
Introduction
Summary
There were three major events that happened. one of the major events that happened was when Valdek was in Auschwitz as a tinsmith and because he was rich and had a lot of money at the time he had to barter with his gold jewelry otherwise he would have been beaten.
the second major event is when the Germans started to make a run further in to Germany after the Americans started to get closer to the camps and so the Germans made every prisoner march further and further into Germany until they hit the next camp and as they got further and further into Germany they conditions they lived in got worse and worse.
the third major event was toward the end of the book when the Germans put all the prisoners in cattle cars and made them go to the bathroom where they stood the only stops they made was to empty the dead out of the cars, and after several days the cars finally arrived at the second Auschwitz camp and there is were Valdek stayed for most of what was left of the war.

Opinion on the book
The second reason i would recommend this book to a friend is because it allows you to see a detailed account of what a prisoner went through during the time. that is the second reason i would recommend this to a friend.
the third reason i would recommend this book to a friend is because it gives a totally different perspective than the one you see on TV when you watch a documentary on the Holocaust. these are the reasons why I would recommend this book to a Friend
