Be a science communication intern at the Adler this winter.
Dive deep into current topics in science and report back on your findings as an Adler Planetarium Astro-Journalist this winter!
As an Astro-Journalist, you'll work with astronomers and mentors to research various topics in space science, blog about your findings, and participate in ongoing citizen science efforts with projects on Zooniverse.org.
- 6 students will be selected to be Astro-Journalists.
- Each week, meet for 2.5 hours at the Adler and do up to 2.5 hours of work on your own time.
- Earn a $350 stipend and receive Ventra cards.
- Program duration: early February - late April.
This program is open to high school students only. Space is limited! Apply to participate by Sunday, January 24:
- Complete this short form.
- Send the following things in an email to youthprograms@adlerplanetarium.org: 1) a short cover letter explaining your interest in the program and 2) an example of your writing that you are proud of (this can be a school essay, a creative piece, whatever you feel comfortable sharing.
