HEALTH OFFICE UPDATE
HEALTH OFFICE UPDATE
PLEASE keep your student home if they are ill. Refer to the MDH Decision Tree and the Home Screening Tool. We have had cases where it was 'just a cold, runny nose or allergies’. I'm not making light of those - I want to bring it to your attention that COVID is out there. In order for us to stay open and remain in school, we all need to do our part. Stay home if ill, wear a mask, wash your hands, and social distance as much as possible. The health office needs to be aware if your student is home ill. Please make sure you connect with one of us and let us know what is going on! If anyone is pending a COVID test result in your household due to symptoms, everyone needs to stay home pending those results.
SPORTS & COVID
Now that sports are back up and running if you have a high school athlete and they end up testing positive for COVID, it is strongly recommended they complete the COVID return to play (RTP) protocol. The form needed is linked below.
MSHSL Student-Athlete Medical Eligibility – Post COVID-19 Return to Sport
This return to play is very similar to our concussion return to play. Once our athletic trainer receives the clearance letter from a medical provider, she can finish the protocol with your athlete. If you have any questions about this, feel free to reach out to me, Anne Grahn (District Nurse) or Kris Osterdyk (Athletic Director).
If you decide not to complete this protocol, we need the MHS COVID RTP Denial form on file (see link below).
RETURN TO SCHOOL PLAN 2020/2021
FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
Reminder to all families- Due to Covid, the USDA has offered a waiver to all school districts allowing schools to offer BREAKFAST and LUNCH for FREE to ALL students for this 2020-2021 school year! This is offered to every student regardless if they have an approved application for educational benefits on file or not. ALL STUDENTS can receive breakfast and a lunch every school day for FREE!
Thank you so much for allowing our Nutrition Department the opportunity to feed your student(s) and help them achieve their best!

It also allows the school board an opportunity to seek input from the community. If you would like to participate in a meeting to see if you are interested in joining, email Aimee Moske at amoske@moraschools.org, and the information will be sent to you.
