Message from the Principal
Dear Virginia Lake Families,
Field Day is about a week away! A huge thank you to Mr. Glaviano for all of his hard work to prepare for the event. We are still in need of volunteers, please sign up, if you are able to help run a station. Field Day is for students in Grades 1-6. Our kindergarten students will participate a station rotation in the gym.
A friendly reminder, our Moving District 15 Forward presentation is this week on Thursday, May 26th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. We encourage families to attend the event at Winston Campus in the cafeteria.
This week, we will have our final PBIS celebration on Thursday, May 26th during the school day. Students will have a dance party outside. This year, over 90 % of our students remained major free every month. That is a big celebration! With a few more weeks of school, it is important that students continue to be respectful, responsible, and safe. Thank you for your support!
This week, we begin wrapping up the school year by celebrating our 6th graders during their end-of-year party on Friday, May 27th. Thank you to all of our families that helped plan the event.
Let’s make it a great week!
Warmest Regards,
Patti Van Winkle, Principal

Registration for 22-23 School Year
Online student registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open. If you have not already started this process for your student(s), please visit our registration page to start this process.
Registration is the first step in getting ready for the up-coming school year. After you register your child online you need to:
Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage outlines the District’s student fee structure and the three ways fees can be paid.
If you have a student that is starting Kindergarten, entering fourth grade, or entering 7th grade, you are required to prove residency in District 15. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.
All three steps of the enrollment process must be completed prior to the start of the school year. Students of families that, when required, do not prove residency, will not be able to attend class in a District 15 until the family’s residency is verified.
