    Weekly Highlights

    • Core Knowledge Support for Grades K-2 this week Monday - Thursday
    • Opinion Writing Unit Grades K-5 Starts TODAY! (Writing Period: Monday - Wednesday)
    • Bulletin Boards are due Monday, 4/27 by close of business
    • Last Week of 5th Grade DREAMERS
    • EVERY student should have a book baggie, knows their reading level, a book log, and books at their reading level. If you need a book baggie for a new student, please see Ms. Otto.
    • Please make sure to be diligent with students safety and are supervised at all times. Students should be escorted by an adult to the bathroom, the lunchroom, and dismissal.
    • As part of Danielson Domain 4--- Student Binders should be updated with current work
    • ALL Staff, please continue to support our schools PBIS initiative by wearing your Rocket Bucks, distributing to all students, and attending the Rocket Store at your scheduled time
    • Teachers please include online resources in homework sheets (i-ready/vport math/ myon, etc.) See Ms. Oblines or Mr. Lampson for your students log in information

    Monday 4/27/15---Guided Reading @ 9:00 am - 9:50 am (Push-in teachers please be in your push in class by 9:00 a.m.)

    • NYS Math Make Ups
    • Kindergarten Core Knowledge support--- Kindergarten Classes will be visited during Core Knowledge instruction. Classroom teachers, please be flexible as not everyone will teach Reading at the same time to provide the support specialist an opportunity to visit your class.
    • Monday PD Schedule @ 2:20pm: Continue Writing Unit Planning. Bring Materials provided for Writing Units. Please bring one computer so that the units are typed so that they can be easily shared with your grade level. Turn in unit plans to Ms. Otto by 3:30pm today.

    Friday 5/1/15 --- Learning Binders (Please take this time to make sure students work is organized in their learning binders. That students can talk about the work in their binders --- and that you have a conversation with students about ways for them to improve)

    • Testing starts at 9am SHARP. Please secure testing material by 8:30 a.m.

    Announcements:

    • To all teachers, please make sure daily homework indicates independent reading, and all online learning V-Math, I Ready, and MyOn.
    • All homework should be checked.


    On going reminders:

    • Continue to greet our learners with kindness, organized, colorful, learning environments and with honest preparation for becoming literate, mathematicians, scientists, historians, critical thinkers, willing and able to solve world problems, in other words PLAN, meaningful, productive interactive, and engaging lessons.
    • Routines should be put into practice during guided reading so that students small groups who are not working with a teacher, are engaged in activities/centers that support their ELA needs. If you need ideas or suggestions please see one of the coaches.
