What’s Your Guess?
Yes, it is Corn!
Did you know corn is America’s #1 field crop? Corn leads all other crops in value and volume of production. Our 2013 field trips will examine the many varieties of corn, its growth cycle, and its many uses. And as you can see from above, sweet, dent, Indian and popcorn are used in many, many ways.
Students may claim 90 minutes for Science and 30 for LA for this outing.
Learning Objectives
Students will learn the different uses of corn.
After the lesson, students will write, and share with the group three ways corn is used to make products we use in our everyday lives.
