Update on Learning Options | July 12, 2020
Students will have two learning options for the 2020-2021 school year: In-Person and Online. Please see the video above and find additional information on the graphic below regarding Affton Everywhere Learning Options.

We know our families will have many questions about the specifics of these options, as well as our plans for Health & Safety and Equity in Learning for next school year. Please be assured that we'll have additional information on all of these topics when our plans for reopening are shared with you next Monday, July 20.

Big picture

St. Louis County Shares School Reopening Guidelines

The St. Louis County Department of Health, EducationPlus and Independent Schools of St. Louis shared a Return to School Guidance document earlier this week that local schools, including Affton School District, will use as a framework for developing their individual return-to-school plans. This document was developed by area superintendents, health care professionals, and health department personnel to support a consistent approach for reopening school with an emphasis on student and staff health and safety.

Click here to see the Return to School Guidance we will be considering.

School districts across the St. Louis region are planning to share their reopening plans with the community on Monday, July 20. You can find updates on our reopening plans for the 2020-2021 school year on our website: http://afftonschools.net/covid19/roadmap_to_reopening

Immunization Information for Families

Well-child visits and vaccines are still important during the COVID-19 pandemic. Talk with your child's doctor to schedule an appointment for routine vaccines. Please note, children entering Kindergarten, 8th grade, and 12th grade will be due for vaccines if they have not already received them.

Please review this immunization schedule to make sure your child is ready and up to date to start school.

Don't Forget Online Registration

For the 2020-2021 school year, Affton families have convenient 24-hour a day, seven day a week access to our online registration feature. This online process must be completed for all students returning to the district.

PLEASE NOTE: Online registration does not always work well on cell phones; we recommend using a computer or tablet.

Families of RETURNING students: Please log onto the Parent Portal to register returning students for the 2020-2021 school year.
