Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians,

May the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ be always with you! I hope you and your families are having a wonderful summer. The faculty and staff of All Saints Catholic School is very happy that your child will be joining us this year as we start our 111th school year.

We have already been very busy planning for the start of school. As such, I would like to share some faculty updates. We welcome the following new teachers, Miss Maricela Olvera (PK3), Mrs. Katie Rodriguez (4th grade), Mrs. Marcy Allen (5th grade), and Ms. Sciortino (Computers). We also had some other faculty transitions happen over the summer. Mrs. Ruiz had a relocation happen within her family that moved them back to Mexico. She was very saddened to leave the All Saints community and sends her continued prayers and blessings for all of us. Mr. Jaime Martinez has been hired to take over teaching 1st grade. Finally, due to conflicting schedules for the upcoming school year, Mr. Murillo and Coach O'Malley had to step down from their positions at All Saints. We are currently looking at other options for our after school music program and we welcome Coach Romo who will take over for PE & Sports.

I am also pleased to announce that we are in our 2nd year of our Two Way Immersion program that now goes through Kindergarten. To further assist and support our strategic initiative with this, Boston College hired a support coach for us. We welcome Leticia Chavez, as our school mentor. Leticia is retired from FWISD and was a teacher and coordinator within the Bilingual Department. We are excited for her years of expertise and passion for bilingual education and Catholic schools that she brings to us at All Saints.

Great things are indeed happening at All Saints and I am honored and inspired to be your leader for this upcoming school year! Many thanks to you for making the choice for Catholic education and entrusting us with your children this year. Together, with God at our helm, we will embrace our school theme this year to "Look to Him and Be Radiant" in all that we do this school year!

Looking forward to meeting and seeing everyone in a few short weeks!

In Christ,

Ms. Prado

**NOTE: The Diocese has implemented the Notre Dame University “Play Like a Champion Today” Program for all youth sports. If your child will be playing a sport, or you will be coaching, everyone must attend an annual “Play Like a Champion” training. Dates will be announced as soon as we receive them from the Diocese.

COACHES NEEDED-If you would like to coach, the Coaches' PLACT Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 20th @ St. Andrews. Please RSVP to the school office, vrangel@ascsfw.org by July 29th if you will be attending.

Please turn in all medical forms, shot records, and physical forms BEFORE the 1st day of school.

We do not want to delay anyone's first day of school because of not turning in the Diocesan required health records.

If you have any questions about this, or if you are current, please contact our health representative, Mrs. Veronica, vrangel@ascsfw.org.

Come stop by the HSO table during Back to School Orientation!

HSO will be selling gently used uniforms as well as School Spirit Gear!

Please don't forget to review the 2016-2017 school uniform policy. Changes were made and we need your help in ensuring compliance and supporting time not being taken away from the learning environment to address uniform non-compliance.

We would look to be better stewards in our cafeteria this year and cut down on food waste. As such, in an effort to better plan and order food, we are introducing a new lunch ordering procedure. Each month we will send out the lunch menu for the succeeding month with an online ordering form. You have until the last day of the month to order your lunches, so we can plan properly for the month. Please see the attached August lunch ordering form below. Please complete by 8/1 (Only have to do 1 per family).

We have some new furniture that needs to be assembled. If you have a screwdriver and an hour, or two, we sure could use your help ensuring that the furniture is put together and ready for the start of school.

We also have some teachers that have changed classrooms and larger furniture needs to be moved. Again, if you have an hour, or two, we could use your help with this as well.

This is a great way to get a jump on your family service hours for the year. If you can help, please contact the school office, 817-624-2670. Hours are flexible.
