Sigmund Freud was born to a Jewish family on May 6th, 1856, and died September 23rd, 1939. He was born and died in the United Kingdom. Sigmund Freud went to the University of Vienna in 1881. Sigmund was married to Martha Bernays, and had 3 kids with her. Sigmund Freud used hypnosis on his clients. His use of hypnosis with some of his clients was very effective. He was able to get a women who had gone through tragic events that she had forgotten, to remember what happened. Sigmund received his medical degree in 1881 and got married the next year. He considered himself a scientist and believed he could rid anyone of neurotic symptoms Freud's work has been both praised and hotly critiqued but no one has influenced the science of psychology as intensely as Sigmund did.
