Our Winter Break begins on Monday, December 16. Families and teachers will have 3 weeks off of school. We hope you enjoy this time with your family.

There are a lot of festive activities happening this month if your family would enjoy these! Check them out and register for the ones you want. Submit your entry to the AT&T Youth Film Awards!
Five winners will be selected to join Fresh Films and AT&T this spring on an all-expenses-paid filmmaking experience to the Tribeca Film Festival!
Create a script that addresses one of the following topics:
Protecting the environment
Using Positivity and kindness to stop bullying
Distracted driving
The contest is open to students between the ages of 13-18. Submit your entry here by January 24th!

Concurrent Enrollment
Please join the counseling team for an information session about concurrent enrollment. Concurrent enrollment is when students take community college courses while still in high school. Students can earn high school credit AND college credit at the same time.
Information Session:
What - Concurrent enrollment process
When - Tuesday, December 10th
Time - 11AM and 4PM
Each presentation will be exactly the same, feel free to attend whichever information session fits into your schedule.
If you are unable to attend, don’t worry! I will send out a recording and the slides in a follow-up email.

There are many benefits to taking community college courses while in high school (see the infographic below). Please remember that taking a college course also starts your college transcript, so only consider taking community college courses if you are ready.
Remember that we will be closed from December 16th - January 3rd. If you are already planning on taking a community college course, make sure to submit the concurrent enrollment form to your high school counselor before Thursday, December 12th.
