The Manning Weekly Update

December 10, 2021

Manning Community,

First, I have to start with a huge celebration of our performing arts department! If you were at the musical last night, you know what I'm talking about. Last night was incredible. Every single student involved in last night's performance, rocked the house! I want to thank our actors, dancers, and our backstage crew for their hard work as it sure showed in their performance last night. Of course, I would also like to thank Ms. Mendez and Ms. Norton for being the most incredible performing arts duo I've gotten to observe in the last 20 years. They are so talented and do such an amazing job working with our students to create and deliver phenomenal productions.

Second, we will be having our parent partnership meeting next Tuesday evening, @ 5:00 p.m. This meeting will be held over Zoom this month (please see the Zoom link below in the "important dates" section). I've included the agenda for the meeting below in case you are interested in attending. Again, all are welcome!

Parent Partnership Meeting, Tuesday, 12/14, Agenda:

  1. Updates
  2. Review Student Voice Data Regarding Second Semester Community Building
  3. Family-School Partnership Survey

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Better Together,

Christian Ramaker

Teacher Gift Giving Made Easy!

Our Manning staff has worked incredibly hard this year to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment for our students. While a simple “thank you” is always appreciated, and gifts are never expected, you may want to participate in our personalized gift card exchange where all teachers receive a special Christmas gift card from all of the Manning community. The teachers are currently filling out wishlists; based on these lists, we will purchase personalized cards that each individual teacher and staff member will love!

APPLEWOOD HOLIDAY LIGHTS

Grab a hot cocoa and meet up with friends in the Applewood Knolls neighborhood, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on the next three Fridays in December (12/3, 12/10 & 12/17). Neighbors and Manning classmates will be walking the neighborhood, taking in the holiday lights, and helping to decorate the neighborhood holiday tree on the corner of 30th Ave and Parfet. Hang an ornament as you walk past the tree and join in the outdoor holiday fellowship. Applewood Knolls sits between 32nd Ave and 26th Ave, just East of Quail St. Neighbors have gone all in on the lights and some will have festive music playing to get you in the holiday spirit.
