A Message from the Principal...
Leadership Day was a huge success! The families of new students that attended found the day to be extremely informative as they learned about the 7-Habits. It was a perfect audience for our student leaders to share their leadership and knowledge of the 7-Habits with.
We would also like to thank those families that donated items for breakfast and snack. We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you for being role models for all of us!
"Don't miss out, it's time to order your 2016-2017 Silver Springs yearbook!

How do you get an Egg-in-a-Bottle without touching it? Students will learn how in this Air themed class. They’ll also learn how to inflate an 8-foot-long Windbag with just one breath of air. Nothing short of amazing! Saving the best for last, students will build and race a balloon powered car. Ready, set, blow!
Silver Springs Holiday Cookie Exchange
The Silver Springs staff would like to thank the PTA and all the generous families for the cookies! The Cookie Exchange was a huge success.
Without the generosity of our Silver Springs Families, events like this would not be possible! We wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season!
PTA Reflections
Thank you to the students who participated in this year’s PTA Reflections Arts Program. Congratulations to the students whose artwork received a medal at our Reflections Celebration Night. Please send any photos from the Reflections Celebration to Shawnna Biondo-Savin at biondo_savin@hotmail.com for the yearbook.
Girls on the Run
It is that time of year again! Girls on the Run spring registration is quickly approaching and we are in need of parent volunteers to keep the program at Silver Springs. Girls on the Run is available for 3-5 grade girls. It gives them the opportunity to exercise, develop friendships, participate in team building activities, and learn how to handle difficult situations. Spring season is March 13th-May 26th. Parents need to commit to 1-2 days per week after school.
If you are interested in volunteering for this program or have more questions, please contact Pam Schulman schulmpa@northvlleschools.org

Habit #7: Sharpen the Saw
What this means: Balance feels best. In order to maintain and increase effectiveness, we must renew ourselves in body, mind, heart and soul.
“I take care of my body by eating right, exercising, and getting sleep.”
“I find meaningful ways to help others.”
“I spend time with family and friends.”
“I learn in lots of ways and places, not just at school.”
How can I do this in my life?
1. Go for a walk.
2. Read a book.
3. Volunteer in your community.
4. Value the difference in others.
