Mrs. Boschen's Weekly News
December 14 - December 18, 2015
This Week's News
We have been working hard with the robots, participating in the Hour of Code last week. We even taught our robots to draw! We will continue to work this week on our measurement unit, adding time and elapsed time as another focus. We will wrap up the week with an assessment on Friday.
In reading we have begun our unit on extreme weather by looking at the different elements that cause weather, and learning the difference between climate and weather. This week students will be digging in deeper to focus on one particular type of weather. By the end of the week, each student should have selected the weather they will research.
Students are also getting ready to create a project based on the fantasy novel that they read. They will be working on these projects in class all week, and presenting their novels to their classmates next week. They have selected some creative projects, and I look forward to seeing the final results!

This will occur on the morning of December 23, time TBD depending on the craft. If you would like to help plan this event for the class, please let me know ASAP. Thanks!
