Building Space Community Forums
Bristol Community Forum is on October 1st at 7pm. Please come and have your voices heard!
This is your chance to contribute to the decision making process. The WGSD will hold ten community forums in district schools in September to share information about increasing enrollment here as well as safety and security needs. We want to hear your thoughts, what's important to you and ideas for possible solutions. Please plan to come to one of the forums to hear about and discuss important issues affecting our schools. The Enrollment Space Committee, a group of citizens assisting the district, will gather the information from the forums to help it develop solutions to present to the BoE.
All forums begin at 7pm
Oct. 1 Bristol--This date was moved from the 18th
Bristol Equity Parents
Please join Bristol Equity Parents (BE Parents) October 1st, from 6 - 7pm in the Bristol music room. We have arranged to hold this meeting prior to the WGSD "Space and Safety" forum taking place in the Bristol library from 7-8.
We thought it would be a good starting point for us this year if everyone could come prepared with an 'I wonder' statement regarding how racial understanding is addressed or experienced by your child in our school community. We'll share and cultivate a learning community together.

New Book Fair Chair Needed!
The Bristol PTO is looking for 2 volunteers to direct the Bristol Book Fair Committee for the 2019-2020 school year. Ideally, the candidates will assist the current Chairperson with the remaining Scholastic Book Fair in November 2018. This will provide an opportunity for training and a smooth transition for the following year.
Historically, the Bristol Book Fairs have generated $7,000-$8000 worth of funds for our PTO. Most of the funds have been used to keep our library updated and some have been allocated to support our teachers. It requires very little leg work leading up to the event with a more intensive commitment for the 2-3 days during the fair. Recruiting volunteers is typically not a problem and working with the kids is a joy!
Please contact Wendy Zerega at mwzerega@att.net or 314-482-0699 if you are interested.
Room Parents Needed!
We still need 2 Room Parents for your child's classroom! Our Room Parents are the link between the classroom parents, the PTO, and your teacher. If you are able to fill this role, please sign in to the Buzz Book and click on Signups at the top of the page: https://www.myschoolanywhere.com/login.a5w
If you have questions or trouble signing up, feel free to reach out to the following PTO members:

· Shopping help….You’ll be surprised at the eagle eyes as they pick out products with Box Tops at the grocery store.
