SPOTLIGHT SESSION

Spotlight Session: Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow

Presented by Bullock Texas State History Museum

Grades: 4-12

Cost: FREE

Date: October 22

Time: 10:00-11:00 a.m. CDT

Who was Jim Crow? A museum educator from the New York Historical Society will join us at the Bullock Museum to lead students in a discussion to explore the struggle for full citizenship and racial equality that unfolded in the 50 years after the Civil War. Students will learn about the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments as we highlight the connections in the long fight for Black equality that continues today.
