This is one of the most exciting events of the school year. Each class chooses a country to study. The children, teachers, and room parents work hard to research the Geography, Lifestyle, History, Government, and Economy of their selected country. They create artwork, listen to music, learn dances and enjoy stories from their country. They then present what they have learned to parents at the Winter Cultural Festival each year. This year our event will be on Thursday, December 17, 2015, activities start at 6 pm.

Noon Dismissal - There will be a noon dismissal on December 17, in order for teachers to prepare their rooms for the festival. Carpool starts at 11:45 am.

Performances - Each class will present items from their studies. There will be a separate schedule of events for the evening.

Food and Drink - Light refreshments will be provided by the families of the class, with dishes based on authentic food from the chosen country. Please allow your child to assist with this process.

Visit other countries - This is an excellent opportunity for conversations which broaden the mind and the senses. Please take the opportunity to visit other countries in other classrooms during the evening.

Dear parents,

Soccer Shots is a youth national soccer program, focused not only on learning and developing soccer skills, but also on character development. We use the soccer sessions to teach kids life lessons such as respect, sharing, confidence and so forth.

We run programs in 33 states and 5,000 childcare centers. This year we have coached over 250,000 children. We place a large emphasis on:

Coaches: Hiring only the best coaches to work with children. Every coach is thoroughly trained and receives over 20 hours of on-field, classroom, and e-Learning training. Our training programs ensure that coaches are using developmentally appropriate methods and language. All coaches have their required background checks as well.

Curriculum: Our curriculum is aligned with the Texas Early Learning Guidelines and has been reviewed by Early Childhood professionals.

Communication: We handle the entire registration and communication process with parents. Each week, the parents receive a summary of what their child has learned in our program.

The video below showcases a little about our program and our mission to make a positive impact on every child we coach.

Don't miss it out! Register today!
