January 2-5
With Mr. Warrenfeltz
In science, students will research parts of the eye in order to develop a model which explains how light reflecting from objects enters the eye allowing objects to be seen. In math, we will continue working on multiplying fractions and mixed numbers in order to solve real world problems.
With Mrs. Hartley
In ELA/SS, students will share their Native American projects and explain the similarities and differences between the tribes. They will begin an independent writing project in which they will choose a prompt (persuasive, informational, or narrative) to demonstrate their understanding of Native societies. Throughout the week, they will engage in mini-lessons specific to their writing goals. Additionally, they will receive new book club books on Wednesday, and a full calendar of due dates will be coming soon!
