Running Wolves' Retirements & Farewells
We are excited and a bit sad to say farewell to a few of our teachers and staff this year. Patti Moncada, our ELL tutor will be moving our of state after 17 years of dedicated service with ASD. Amy Beck, our cafe assistant has been with us for almost as long. Mr. Jim, our KTA and Crossing Guard official will me moving on to other adventures. Leah Nelson, our 4th grade HG teacher is taking time to be with her growing family. Isabelle Gulick, our Special Education Resource teacher, will be returning to her home state of Vermont and will continue her career in education.
Please join me in congratulating the following educators in completing their careers! Joey Jigliotti, Trisha Flanigan, Barbara Wohlforth, Tracy Haines, and Peter Ljubicich will all retire at the end of this school year. These professionals have touched so many lives throughout the years and they leave behind a legacy of a love of learning and high expectations for student growth. We wish you all well in your next steps. Always remember, you're Rogers Park Running Wolves at heart!!

ASD Super Sweepers!
Rogers Park has joined the Anchorage Chamber ASD Super Sweeper event!
PTA has registered our school to participate in the event. Join is May 5th from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. There will be snacks and refreshments!
Q Upgrade July 7-8
The Summer School instance of Q will not be upgraded but will be unavailable on July 7 for maintenance.
Library
Spring is busy in the library. We have caterpillars ready to make their chrysalis, WIN students are studying and creating bugs, new poetry is going up every day, and soon we will have some amazing structures on display.
As the year winds down, please note that Friday, May 5th is the last day for check out. If your student has an overdue book, please help them find the book and return to the library. If a book cannot be found, the title can be replaced or families can pay for the book and Mrs. Levine will replace the title.
We would also like to thank the most amazing library volunteer, Mrs. Denise Flake. Mrs. Flake volunteers in the library every day helping students, processing books and making the library a great place to be. We are truly honored to have such a dedicated volunteer help our school community.

PTA News
Our next PTA meeting is scheduled for: Thursday, May 11th, 2023, at 06:00 PM. This meeting will be held in person in the library and via Zoom. The link will be sent soon, and the agenda will be sent to PTA members the week of the meeting.
We will discuss the calendar for next year! If you are called to help with some of our events, please join us!
Super Sweeper Clean up Event – May 5th
Come on May 5th after school, and help us clean up our community! We will have refreshments and other surprises.

If the Board is not your thing, we also have a number of events that need new leads for the upcoming school year (such as Jog-a-thon, Read Across America week, multicultural potluck, and more).
