Chris Matatall
Chief Operations Officer
It's a great time to be an Intec employee. We are growing in each of our markets, health benefits have been implemented, and our reinstatement of the 401K program allows our employees to save for their future. This is our first newsletter, we hope you enjoy it. The corporate office has worked hard on it, especially Marcus who didn’t know he was to become an Editor when he was hired! Information from around the country will be included. If you have suggestions or if you would like regular updates on specific issues, submit it in the form below so that we can include it in our next issue. Keep an eye on your system rankings and strive to be the best! I appreciate each of you and the hard work you put in each day.
Thank you, and be safe!
Toll Tags
As Intec policy states, technicians will be held responsible for the toll violation costs and fees that occur while operating a company owned vehicle.
Tips to avoid paying toll fees:
- Never assume a toll tag is active
- Avoid toll roads if you are not covered
- GET A TOLL TAG!
Toll tags cost $28.00 per pay period
If you need to sign up for a toll tag, please notify your supervisor and a sign provided deduction form.
Gas Reimbursement Policy

A word from Human Resources
1. Drink cool water. You are supposed to drink eight 8-oz Glasses of water a day (notice it says water not beer).
2. Spend more time inside in the air conditioning. There is nothing like enjoying AC that you don’t have to pay for.
3. Inspect your tools and vehicles before use. If your truck is missing a wheel… you might not be able to complete your route.
4. Don’t speed. Save your ‘Need for Speed’ for the videogames. You won’t have to pay for tickets, and you can keep your job!
5. Know the signs of overheating:
a. Cramps - painful spasms that usually center in the legs, abdomen and arms. By the time your body tells you that you are thirsty, you're already mildly dehydrated.
b. If you feel faint or your heartbeat seems rapid, immediately rehydrate with water, salt and minerals.
c. Finally, there is heat stroke. If you let things get to this stage, you're in serious trouble. As your condition deteriorates, your body actually stops sweating - so beware of dry, hot red skin. If your body temperature is above 103 degrees (F), your skin is dry and flushed (red), your pulse is strong and rapid, and your mental state is impaired, you are on your way to a coma. Seek immediate treatment!
