Happy Friday Shark Families!

It has been an exciting week with many experiences! Our 4th/5th graders went on the first MAST over night field trip to the Space Station and other areas in TN! It has been an amazing trip and they are on their way home right now. Mr. Shipman even mentioned that everywhere our students went in public on the field trip, they were complimented for their positive behaviors! I can't wait to hear all about it! Next week is a shortened week. We will be out of school Monday-Wednesday. We can't wait to see you back on Thursday, March 16th!

Parents, we do need your help. We are having a lot of early dismissals especially closer to 2pm. There are no early dismissals after 2pm and please keep your student in school all day unless they are going to a needed appointment. Not only does it disrupt their learning but the learning of others when we call down to the classroom. Thank you for your help!!!

Lexia Core 5 is a new computer and teacher based program that will help students build literacy skills essential to learning. We have the ability to send home LEXIA TIPS for any skill that students may be struggling with in the program. Please be on the lookout for these opportunities to help support students.

Many parents don’t realize that they can receive an email of their child’s progress from Schoology. They can choose which days and times they would like to get the update! For example, daily at 2:30 PM OR every Thursday at 4:00. This and other helpful tips can be found by clicking on Schoology at the top of our SDPC webpage!
