Principal's News - Covid-19 Update
The landscape continues to change and the mandate to wear masks now faces us. Today we sent communication to families regarding this ruling and how it will work for us at school. Please do not hesitate to contact your child's class or PCG teacher if you have any concerns for your child and their ability to be able to wear a mask.
Thank you for continuing to support the college as we work together to keep everyone in our community safe at this trying time.
This year certainly continues to challenge us and there are times when I am left asking how much more can people take? It is at this time that I try to stop, take a moment, reflect and lean on God's word. He is our constant, He is with us and He walks through this time beside us. I pray that you can find strength in the things around you to keep you going at this time, to have faith that it will all be ok and know God's love is with you, always.
Blessings to you all

Athletics Week
Monday 17th August – Friday 21st August
Due to current circumstances, we are unable to hold our usual format for Athletics Day but don't want to miss out on Athletics fun. So, the exciting news is...............we are now going to hold ATHLETICS WEEK, an Inter House Athletics Carnival held on the College grounds that will be run across an action packed week.
Students from Year 3 – Year 10 will participate in two half day sessions throughout the week, where they can select from seven events to compete in.
Students in Prep - Year 2 will have their events on the Friday morning.
Friday will also be “House Fun Day”, where students can dress up in their House colours and the afternoon will see the running of the relays to conclude our big week.
Unfortunately parents and friends will be unable to join in the fun as we are still restricted with Covid-19 regulations. We will be sure to share lots of fun photos and updates of the week.
Stay tuned for more information coming soon including each year level's allocated days!
IB Primary Years Program - The Learner Profile
At the heart of the of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) is to develop students that are internationally minded, that care for the people and the world. This idea of international mindedness is developed through the Learner Profile attributes; Balanced, Caring, Thinker, Reflective, Knowledgable, Communicator, Principled, Inquirer, Open-minded and Risk-Taker.
The Learner Profile attributes are visited regularly throughout the day, across the curriculum.
Students may reflect on how being a communicator can help to share an important cultural message in the Arts. Or how being a principled risk taker in Science can assist as students develop a solution to take action on an environmental issue.
The Learner Profile helps students to take ownership of their learning and supports them to reflect upon and develop lifelong skills.

Hair with Heart
Today Hazel Symonds will be chopping off (over 36cm) on (Friday the 31st of July 2020). It has been 3 years since she last donated her hair to Variety The Children’s Charity and she decided it is time to make a difference again!
Hazel has made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating her hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
Hazel says, "Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need. I would love your support."
