Back-to School Night - Thursday, September 8th - TIME CHANGE - 5:00 - 6:40
Please join us for Back to School Night, a night for parents to meet with their child's teacher to hear about the "business" of school and their classroom. Teachers will review the curriculum and standards taught, as well as classroom expectations. This year we have 2 sessions so that families with multiple children can hear presentations from multiple teachers. Each presentation will last approximately 30 minutes so we ask families to be in the classroom on time.
Unlike Open House, this is a structured meeting night. This is a night for adults, we ask that children do not attend.
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm - Everyone meets in the auditorium - Introduction of all teachers, principal message and PTA welcome
5-minute passing to the next classroom
5:35 - 6:05 - Session 1 - All classrooms open TK - 5
5-minute passing to the next classroom

Healthy Snacks
It is essential for Kettering students to practice healthy habits. It is imperative that Kettering students come to school with a full stomach from an at-home breakfast or come to school to enjoy a free breakfast (served 7:30 am - 8:00 am). Either way, all students need to have a nutritious start their day.
We once again encourage students to enjoy a snack as brain food during recess. When sending a healthy snack each day, please ensure it is, first and foremost, healthy. Nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables, natural proteins (meats, eggs, cheeses, edamame...), dehydrated veggie chips, granola bars or cereal bars, yogurt, applesauce... is encouraged. Always read the label before sending a packaged snack with your child. Additionally, children are not allowed to share treats with other students, so please do not pack/send sharable food items.
