A Note From Mr. Christ
Dear Paddock Families,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. As the weather begins to turn colder, I encourage you to help your student dress warmly enough for recess. Long pants, sweaters, hoodies, and coats are all important when being outside for 20 or 40 minutes at a time. Sometimes, at recess, students will take off their additional layer and forget to collect it when coming inside. Please consider writing the child's name, room number or something that can identify who it belongs to on the clothing. This can help get the item back to the student quickly and reduce anxiety over lost items or having to search the lost and found.
Have a wonderful week!
Sincerely-
Jason Christ
Principal

Safety Drills
Our first lockdown drill of the year on Friday went extremely well. Students learned about what to do if a hard lockdown needed to be initiated to ensure they remain safe. During the drill, the students stayed in their desks to keep social distancing protocols in place.
On Wednesday, October 20th Paddock students will be participating in our yearly bus evacuation drill. This is a quick drill that teaches students what to do in a bus emergency and allows them to practice exiting out the bus emergency exit. Students who normally take a bus will complete the drill on their regularly assigned bus before leaving for the day. Students who are walkers or car riders will board empty buses, earlier in the afternoon, to take part in the drill.
