The Great Depression of 1929 was a worldwide depression that lasted for 10 years.

The president was making bad chooses.

Many people lost there jobs over them.

The unemployment rate shot up from 3 % to 25%.

The great depression ended in 1939.

On October 25 1929 the great depression. By 1933, when the Great Depression reached its nadir, some 13 to 15 million Americans were unemployed and nearly half of the country's banks had failed. On October 25 1939 the great depression ended.
