WMS Principal Update
Distance Learning 2020
June 15, 2020
Good Afternoon Woodbury Middle School,
Tomorrow is the last day for students participating in distance learning. Each class is having one last virtual meeting with their grade level. Teachers will all be in attendance to wish all the students best wishes for the summer. Listen to Mrs. Greene's morning announcement for all the details on how to access the meeting. Students may also check in with their UA teachers and previous year's teachers to say goodbye. We hope to see all the students logging in to these meetings.
Last Friday, teachers drove around Woodbury and Bethlehem, delivering graduation signs to our eighth-grade graduates. Thank you to our Parents in the Middle for sponsoring this awesome event. Many teachers spoke how excited the students were when the sigh was delivered to their home.
Students who are not attending Region 14 in the fall will need to return their Chromebooks to the school to avoid incurring charges. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
The eighth-grade virtual graduation is Friday, June 19th, at 4:00. A separate notice will be sent out Tuesday with access information and expectations for the diploma ceremony. We are reminding families that only one vehicle should arrive on campus, and no one should get out of their cars. Diplomas will be delivered directly to the student in the car.
Summer Reading and Math resources are located on the district website. We encourage all students to visit these resources throughout the summer to keep skills fresh.
On behalf of all the staff at Woodbury Middle School, I would like to thank you for your support during these difficult times. Your many emails to staff provided a necessary lift when things often became difficult. Also, the help you provided for your students was an integral factor in our distance learning program success. Please be safe and have a wonderful summer. See you in September.
