The Planet
Venus is the second planet from the sun and also the brightest. It is the first planet named after a Roman Goddess ("Goddess of Love and Beauty"). Venus is the only planet that has no moons along with Mercury.
The Hottest Planet in the Solar System
Venus is the hottest planet in the Solar System. Its temperature goes all the way up to 900 degrees F (465 degrees C). There is no water or any there liquids in Venus besides lava flows because Venus is too hot for water because it will just boil right away.

Venus and Earth have many similarities. One is that Venus and Earth is similar to their mass and density. Second is that its gravity and size is similar to Earth. Venus and Earth have many similarities between them but that is about all.

Venus is the slowest planet in the Solar System to rotate around its axis. It takes about 243 Earth days to rotate around the sun. Venus's atmosphere is made up of carbon dioxide and its average distance is 67,237,910 miles away from the sun.
