The Siegrist Star
Week of November 21, 2022
Happy Thanksgiving Break Siegrist Families:
This week was a short week, but very busy with a lot to share. While we are highlighting a few activities below in this week's newsletter, we encourage you to take a moment to visit our Siegrist Facebook page by CLICKING HERE.
We are so grateful for your support and partnership in making great things happen for all within our Siegrist community. We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving and an opportunity to connect as a family over this break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, November 28th.
All the best,
Mrs. Johna-Kaye Sutton
BizTown
Last Friday, fifth graders at Siegrist Elementary recently got a taste of life in the real world at Junior Achievement's BizTown. The immersive learning experience allows students to operate banks, manage restaurants and write checks while helping them to connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. They learned about running the city, working together, career choice, managing a company and personal budget.
3rd Grade Concert
The 3rd graders performed their program, I've Got the Power in Me for family and friends on November 21 at the Wilson Center. The program was based on the one word that each student and staff member chose to help us become better this year. The program included songs from favorite movies including Moana, Mary Poppins and High School Musical. There were many brave students who sang solos and learned speaking parts. All of the students did their best singing and dancing. It was a wonderful show!
Friendsgiving Feast
Students in the kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms enjoyed a Friendsgiving Feast and enjoyed many activities.
