Advanced Reading Challenge

Imagine Schools 2020-2021 Advanced Reading Challenge (ARC)

Purpose

The Advanced Reading Challenge (ARC) is meant to challenge students to read books chosen from an approved book list, over the course of one school year and complete personal, creative reflections based on the book's genre; demonstrating a review of the book's message and sharing personal reflections about the book in a creative way.


Students in grades K-2 are asked to read 20 books and complete 20 projects. (*Five of the 20 may be in the form of an AR quiz with a score of 90% of better.) Students in grades K-2 who complete the challenge will be awarded with a $25.00 Barnes & Noble Gift Card.


Students in grades 3-6 are asked to read 25 books and complete 25 projects. (*Five of the 20 may be in the form of an AR quiz with a score of 90% of better.) Students in grades 3-6 who complete the challenge will be awarded with a $50.00 Barnes & Noble Gift Card.

If and when you decide to participate, you will complete the commitment Google form towards the bottom of this notice. I will then add your child to an ARC Google Classroom where students will be able to submit projects, log projects and find all the important documentation.
