Spartan Family Newsletter
October 2022 News to Know
A Message from Your Principal: Mrs. Frasure
Thanks to the hard work of the staff, the efforts of our students and the cooperation of parents, our year has started off GREAT! I have had the chance to visit all the classrooms multiple times throughout the first six weeks and it is a sight to see! I have seen smiling faces, enthusiasm and positive attitudes among students and staff.
As we enter into October, I am so proud of our students, families, and staff members of South Waco Elementary. The whole Spartan community is committed to developing a learning community where all students are respectful, responsible, safe and prepared. I encourage each of you to open up conversation with your children about what each of these words means to them.
This newsletter will be shared on our campus webpage, on Facebook, through email and will be sent home through the Thursday folders each month. The newsletter is intended to provide families with important information and exciting events that are happening at South Waco Elementary. We hope that you find this newsletter helpful.
Also, if you are not already doing so, please follow South Waco Elementary on Facebook! I am looking forward to the partnership between you and the school and making sure this year continues to go smoothly.

Important Tidbits
- The school day is from 7:45 am - 3:30 pm. Breakfast starts at 7:15 am and ends at 7:45 am. Your student is tardy after 7:45 am so please make it a priority to have your student on campus by 7:45 am.
- If your student is going to be absent, please make sure you call the office by 8:15 am and send a written note or doctor's excuse when your student returns.
- Any student leaving early must have a doctor's excuse in order for the part of day absence to be excused. You must be on the student's contact list and have an ID to pick up your child. No student is able to be picked after 2:45.
- For your student's safety, please do not drop off your students in the school parking lot. Students must be dropped off on the sidewalk in front of the school.
