Martin Luther King Jr. Was a civil rights activist, best known for using nonviolence protests. He used nonviolence for the advancement of civil rights. I think Martin Luther King Jr. had the most effect during the civil rights movement.
2. Malcolm X
Malcolm X was also a major civil rights activist. Unlike Martin Luther king, Malcolm X believed that violence was the answer.
3. Stokely Carmicheal
Stokely Carmicheal was known for starting them phrase "Black Power". Like Malcom X, Carmicheal believed in violence as a protest for civil rights.
