The Second Amendment

A well regulated militia, bring necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Bliss V. Commonwealth

A man named Bliss was fined $100 for carrying a sword hidden in a cane. He appealed the verdict and pointed to the state constitution, which said:" The right of citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the state shall not be questioned." The court agreed with Bliss and he was not guilty.

Scenario

Today in court we will be talking about the Cedric v. the people. Cedric is being charged $200 for having a concealed weapon in his locker at school. The people say that he should never bring a weapon to school. In Cedric's defense he said that he only brought a weapon to protect himself because he was being bullied. And as the law states citizens have the right to bear arms. So the case was closed there. Cedric was declared not guilty.
