SOCIAL GROUP NEWSLETTER

Vol. 11 - April 12, 2016

What happened at the last S.O.A.R session!

Our group had a great time last week learning about working as a team while playing a variety of games at our Safari party!

I was really pleased with how well our group members independently helped each other without cues! I was also impressed with everyones ability to stop, take deep breaths and return to a neutral state of emotional regulation.

I think last week may have been our best session to date! I just can't say enough good things about the group's session work last week!

At book time, the group read a social story titled How to Lose a Game and Win Friends. I'm attaching a copy of the story below.

Our Next Session is this Friday April 15, 2016

What's new!

New Group Activity

We will be working on the ins and outs of taking team pictures this week! The group will learn what it's like to take someone's picture and what behaviors are expected when taking group or individual pictures. We will also continue our social story work and try to squeeze in some game time!

We will also continue our work with A 5 Could Make Me Lose Control! and Movie Time Social Learning.
