The new playground at WES is coming along nicely. The structure should be finished soon, but until then please do not enter the playground area before, during and after school. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!!

We Give Thanks To the PTO!!

This year has been different like no other year and the PTO has made changes to still be the all time best PTO EVER!! Thank you so much for the Staff Appreciation Day! Staff members loved the change and the fun activities all week long!!

Notice the beautiful picnic tables outside MHS and WES? PTO purchased them! The students are taking their snack breaks and are having a rest on them during recess and even teachers are having lunch break on them enjoying the sunshine and taking off their masks.

The PTO has come to our rescue all year long, whether its buying lanyards for the students masks or even indoor individual recess fun bags during the cold winter months or rainy days.

Thank you parents, grandparents, guardians, staff members and townspeople who help make the PTO a well run organization. Here is to many more years!!!!

Nature's Classroom on Wheels ~ Two student perspectives

Fifth grade is so fun for many reasons. One in particular is Nature's Classroom. But we had to do it a little different this year. Thanks to Dr. Stewart, Mrs. Ayles, Mrs. Pinkes, and Mrs. Taylor, we got Natures' Classroom on Wheels. We did a lot of activities starting with team building, where we got to know a little bit about each other. We got crazy with Mad Scientists, throwing oobleck around. We got very creative with Nature Art. We had fun hiding from counselors in the woods in Camouflage. We had fun learning about how bouncy balls work. Pretending we crashed our plane on a desert island was pretty fun. Lighting cotton balls on fire was the most fun, even without smores. Using science to build little boats to carry marbles across the tub of water. Who carried the most? We got to get our hands dirty in Bioblitz. In between classes we got to reunite as a class with snack breaks. Thank you to all the people who made NOW possible. By Grace

We had so much fun at Nature's Classroom! But we had to do it a little different this year. Thanks to Dr. Stewart, Mrs. Ayles, Mrs. Pinkes and Mrs. Taylor, we got Nature's Classroom on Wheels! We did so many fun activities! We started with Team Building where we got to build more of a bond with each other. we got crazy with Mad Scientist, and very creative in Nature Art. We also had fun hiding from counselors in the woods for camouflage. We had fun learning about how bouncy balls work, and pretending to crash on an island was pretty fun too. But lighting cotton balls on fire was probably the most fun, even without smores! Using science to build boats to carry marbles across the tub of water. Who carried the most?
