Outdoor Play
To make the most of outdoor time, think about creative, joyful, engaging activities that build upon your child's natural need for movement. Running, jumping, climbing, throwing, kicking, riding a bike, etc.. supports the development of gross motor skills and builds a habit of being active.
Spending time in nature helps a child to relax and feel calm which is an important part of a child's social emotional well-being.
Our Play Group Kite Design Project
Providing your child with a variety of materials to create their own projects supports their ability to be innovative and to have agency over the process. Student agency over their own learning is a key component in building the skills needed for academic success.
