Message From Mrs. Robertson
We know that our families are eagerly awaiting information from us in order to prepare for the start of the school year. There are many questions yet to be answered however, I hope to be able to provide some of the answers in this newsletter.
During this past week the Leadership Team and Administrative Team have been working diligently to prepare for the reopening of schools. Our time together provided us the opportunity to collaborate in order to create school-wide consistent practices for students and families as we embark on Distance Learning. In addition to building consistency across grade levels, specials, and our specialized program we began planning for exciting ways to connect with families before the first day of school and beyond.
Finding out who your teacher will be is the most anticipated piece of information that students and families wait for all summer. Unfortunately, our plan to send letters to families by the end of next week has been delayed due to changes in enrollment and the need to complete our hiring of staff, which has been on-going throughout the summer. I apologize for the delay, however teacher assignments are too important to student success. We need additional time to make adjustments that will be in the best interest of students. Stay tuned as we will communicate when this information is ready to be distributed.
In closing I would like to leave you with a quote that has helped me navigate these past weeks.
“Our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
Thank you for your continued support as we prepare for the year ahead. It is because we stand together that we will be successful!!
Yours in education,
Kimberly Robertson
