PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Speeches
What a great effort today by all our speech finalists in Year 5/6 and Year 7/8. Public speaking is never easy and is a great skill to master at a young age. I was really impressed by the quality of speeches and the diversity of topics. Good luck to all the winners who now go onto the Western Cluster finals next week at Hauroko Valley School.Staff changes - Term 4
With Amy Morris going on Maternity Leave at the conclusion of Term 3 we have Paula Stewart teaching in Room 6 for Term 4. The students will be familiar with Paula as she spent a number of weeks relieving in Room 6 during Term 1.
Isobel Dahlenburg will be working as an extra Learning Assistant during Term 3. We have secured some extra funding and she will be working with individuals and groups of children supporting their learning in the classroom.
Physical Education, Health and Relationships and Sexuality Consultation
This year we are required to consult with our community around the PE, Health and Relationships and Sexuality Curriculum. The government have put in new guidelines around the Relationships and Sexuality Curriculum and we wish to get your feedback before we decide and plan on how this will be implemented at Otautau School. Please click on the link below and answer the questions. Your feedback here will help guide us on what we will be covering within the new guidelines.
