Happenings at Log College

Spring has finally arrived! Our winter sports season just wrapped up recently with the boys basketball team defeating Klinger in the annual Log/Klinger game. Our cheerleaders wrapped up their competitive season undefeated with a 1st place finish at their final competition on March 15th! We are very excited to announce that students and staff from Log College will be featured on an upcoming episode of Fox 29's "The ClassH Room"! Staff members Ethan Leiby, Tom Boyle, Jamie Chase, and Liz Crognale will face students Jamar Mitchell, Gigi DeMito, Zach Stanfield, and Taylor Jones in a battle of trivia and general knowledge. The winning team will receive $500 that can be put toward a project of their choice at Log College! Log College's episode will be taped on Saturday, April 13th, with an air date sometime in the near future.

The ClassH Room is a game show that features middle and high schools from the region putting students against their teachers in a trivia format. The show is hosted by local teacher and talent, Richard Curtis. Mr. Curtis grew up in Perkasie, graduating from Pennridge High School, and eventually teaching Film at Souderton High School. He rose to national prominence in 2016 after winning a nationwide contest to guest host "Live! With Kelly." Episodes of "The ClassH Room" air on weeknights at 6:30 PM on Fox 29. Stay tuned for more information regarding Log College's episode!

Fun Fact: Richard Curtis was the videographer at Mr. Drago's wedding in 2012!

Congrats to Our Cheerleaders!

Congratulations to the cheer team for placing first in their final competition of the season! The girls battled illnesses and were down a few members, and still performed their best routine of the season! Ms. Chase said that big sacrifices were made by each girl to make this routine possible! A job well done on your undefeated season!

Select Chorus

Select Chorus, run by Ms. Duchene, is a club where students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade sing music with a focus on two part harmony. Select chorus rehearses once a week after school and performs at Log College's winter and spring concerts. This spring Select Chorus will sing "What a Wonderful World" and "Firework," and will sing three songs with 6th grade chorus, 7th & 8th grade chorus, and concert choir

Kindness Club

"In a world where you can be anything, be kind", this is the motto of the Kindness Club at Log College Middle School. The Kindness Club is a brand new club run by Ms. Ball and Mrs. Clark. It consists of over forty 6th, 7th, and 8th graders striving to teach empathy and spread kindness throughout our school and community. It is our goal to spread the word that ALL students matter, are cared for, and belong! Students attend weekly meeting to brainstorm and carry out projects, and even have a Mascot, Maya the Golden Retriever Therapy Dog!
