A new adventure begins! This year, we are taking flight on a journey full of learning. I know it is going to be a year filled with fun, joy, excitement, adventure and memories. I personally want to welcome everyone to the 2023 - 2024 school year. I have no doubt this year is going to be AMAZING! I can't wait to see our 5th graders again, and I am looking forward to meeting all our new 4th graders. I hope you can make it to Meet the Teacher on August 15th at 4:15pm.

Finally, With the new school year just around the corner, I want to share important news and information so that you and your child will be ready for take off on August 17th.

Annual Registration - If you have not completed your annual registration, please be sure to get this information updated this week. This needs to be done so that your child will receive a postcard from his/her homeroom teacher.

Car Riders - Arrival and Dismissal - Our arrival and dismissal procedures have not changed from last year. If you are driving your child to school in the morning, the drop off location is at Viking Hall. To access Viking Hall from 1431, you will turn on Bar K Ranch Road. Turn left in front of the lower baseball field. Please only release students in front of Viking Hall. Do not let your child out in the circle. We will not have staff on duty until 7:15. Please do not drop your child off before 7:15. Buses will drop students off in the front of the building.

After 7:40am, please take your child to the front of the building. We will not have anyone supervising in the back of the building after 7:40am.

BUS TRANSPORTATION REQUESTS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9TH!

If your student is participating in bus transportation for the 2023-2024 school year, registration and bus requests must be completed in Ascender ParentPortal by Wednesday, August 9th in order to be included on the first day routes.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Bus transportation is reserved only for regular riders. Please ONLY register students who intend to ride the bus regularly. Students who do not ride for 10 consecutive days will be dropped from the route.

This year, we are taking off on a journey of learning!

Our theme this year is Taking Flight on a Journey Full of Learning. Through this theme, students can learn more about their own leadership qualities, goal setting, resilience, hard work, and determination. In addition, they can discover their own star power and unique talents.

Classroom teachers will send a welcome email on Friday, August 11th. Please look for that email from your child's homeroom teacher. Be sure to update your registration information so that you get your email from your child's teacher.

Breakfast and Lunch . Breakfast will be $2.00 and Lunch is $3.30. Here is the link to add funds to your child's account.

Free and Reduced Meal Applications - Families are encouraged to fill out the Free and Reduced-Price Meals applications. You can access the links here (English or Spanish). You may not qualify for it, but you could be eligible for other assistance.

Visitors and Volunteers - We will be welcoming lunchtime visitors on campus starting September 11th. This allows us time to teach routines and procedures.

We want to encourage our students to bring a water bottle everyday. We want to keep everyone hydrated! If you have any extra refillable water bottles, please send them our way! We will be collecting them for students that do not have a water bottle. Thank you for all your support!
