I hope the summer break is providing opportunities for our Rockets to read, explore, discover, create, and have fun! We are about to launch a new school year together with new Rocket families joining our amazing team! Although this school year will be a unique experience for us all, the strength of our Rocket family and our ability to be “Ready, Willing, & Able” will lead us through our journey together!
I would like to extend a shout-out to our PfISD teams who developed extremely thorough On-Campus Guidelines, Virtual Learning Guidelines, and Transition from On-Campus to Virtual Learning Guidelines. Currently, our campus teams are engaged in using the district guidelines to develop our Rowe Lane-specific plans for in-person learning and virtual learning, which will be shared with our Rocket families in August. I would highly encourage you to become familiar with the attached district guidelines in order to have a strong foundation of information before our campus-specific plans are shared with the Rocket Community to gain additional feedback.
New student registration is scheduled for Wednesday, 7/29, and Thursday, 7/30. Registration packets will be available in front of the school building beginning Monday, 7/27. We are excited to welcome our newest Rocket students! Please read the sections below for additional registration information.
Online Student Verification and Registration Choice Selection are now accessible through Skyward Family Access. These action items need to be completed for all returning PfISD students. Registration Choice Selection related to students returning in-person or virtual learning will need to be completed by Thursday, 7/30. This information will assist with our campus and district planning. Reminder to all 3rd-grade parents: Two Forms of Proof of Residency are required to complete the student verification process through Skyward. All items presented & uploaded must be dated within the last 60 days to meet our residency requirements.

New Student Registration, July 29th & 30th
New student registration is scheduled for July 29th (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) & July 30th (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). PFISD registration packets for SY 20-21 will be available at Rowe Lane beginning Monday, July 27th. Each form must be completed and returned with a copy of your child’s birth certificate, immunization record, copy of parent/guardian ID, and two forms of proof of residency.
In order for your child to be officially enrolled, we must have a copy of all your documents on file. For contactless registration, you may drop-off complete packet or email the documents to the registrar megan.dubouzet@pfisd.net
If you are unable to make copies of your required documents at home, you may schedule an appointment online https://pf-apps.pfisd.net/WebForms/Registration or same-day appointment, a sign-up sheet will be available on campus.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- All individuals entering a PfISD building will be subject to a screening process including a questionnaire and temperature check.
- All guests and staff must wear masks/face-coverings and maintain social distancing during registration.
- Only the parent registering the student may enter the building for registration.
- We are limiting each registration area to 10 people including staff, so families may be asked to remain in their car until space is available.
- Individuals with online appointment will be served first.
- We may request that families return at another time due to the number of families trying to register.
First Day of School Online Student Verification & Registration Choice Selection for 2020-2021
On Thursday, August 13, we will welcome more than 26,000 students and their families back to school. PfISD will begin the school year 100% virtual for the first three weeks. After the first three weeks of virtual learning, we will take guidance from the local Austin-Travis County Health Authority regarding on-campus learning. Once on-campus learning is permitted, students will either attend school via on-campus learning or continue with virtual learning. At this time, we are asking parents to register their children for either on-campus or virtual learning. This choice will apply when both options are available. This registration process will help our District plan for master schedules, classroom space, and long-term virtual learning needs.
The registration choice can be found in the Skyward Parent Portal and should be completed by July 30. If you need a Skyward Family Access account or have additional questions, please contact Skyward support at parentportal@pfisd.net. Please include your name, your student’s name, and your student’s school on the email to the parent portal. Please ensure that you log in using the Parent Portal and not the Student Portal.
Families will have the option to change their mind regarding their selection until July 30. If you choose to change your student's learning method on or before July 30, please contact your campus registrar to change your selection. This choice will remain in effect for the first 9-week grading period; families will have the opportunity to change their student's learning method at the change of grading periods.
Please be sure you have updated address, phone numbers, emergency contact information, directory information, and health information using the Online Returning Student Verification Form and Health Form for each of your children in the Parent Portal. If you do not update this information for School Year 2020-21, the school will not have current information on your child. El jueves 13 de agosto, daremos la bienvenida a más de 26,000 estudiantes y sus familias a la escuela. PfISD comenzará el año escolar 100% virtual durante las primeras tres semanas. Después de las primeras tres semanas de aprendizaje virtual, tomaremos la orientación de la Autoridad de Salud local del Condado de Austin-Travis en cuanto al aprendizaje en la escuela. Una vez que se permita el aprendizaje en la escuela, los estudiantes asistirán a la escuela mediante el aprendizaje en la escuela o continuarán con el aprendizaje virtual. En este momento, pedimos a los padres que inscriban a sus hijos ya sea para el aprendizaje en la escuela o el aprendizaje virtual. Esta elección se aplicará cuando ambas opciones estén disponibles. For those wishing to get ahead of upcoming paperwork, Pflugerville ISD Food Services has posted its 2020-21 Free and Reduced Meals application online.
