Principal's Perspective
We had a wonderful week at the Glen and it ended with our first ever all-school huddle this morning! Our Student Impact Team (3rd and 4th graders) led our whole school through an assembly all focused on manners. They did a fantastic job for their first presentation and we look forward to their next one! Below you'll see a picture from our time together.
Just a reminder we do not have school on Monday to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Have a great long weekend!
In partnership,
Mary Beth Fischer
A Note from Nurse Jeannie
Dear Parents,
Valentine’s Day is approaching so I just wanted to give you a friendly reminder about our Food and Wellness Program. All of our parties at Maple Glen are Food Free due to the increase of students with severe food allergies. Please do not send any candy attached to your student’s Valentine’s Day cards. Also do not send any food or treats to school to be passed out for Valentine’s Day with your student.
Remember there are a lot of fun non edible items that can be brought in with your child’s Valentine’s Day cards. (Pencils, stickers, erasers etc.) Many of these items can be purchased at Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Party Tree and Michael’s. Thanks for all of your help and cooperation. Our main objective is to keep our students healthy and safe; and still have fun!

To be prepared for our guests and to check the Safe Visitor Registration of incoming visitors (this is required for every visitor) please make sure you register 24 hours in advance.
We allow 5 visitors per grade level lunch. Please use one slot per person signing up. Due to limited space, visitors will be sitting with their child(ren) at their classroom tables. Join the WWS Team!
Westfield Washington Schools is committed to meeting the needs of each student. The best way to accomplish our mission and vision is to ensure that every position in the district is filled with a caring individual dedicated to ensuring each student learns and grows. Being part of a dynamic team, working to ensure each student achieves their full potential is inspiring and energizing. Applying and working as an Instructional Assistant (IA) in one of our schools is an excellent career choice for individuals who would like to make a profound difference in the lives of children. All nine schools currently have open IA positions. We offer full-time and part-time positions. Our IA positions allow parents to work during their students' school schedule - thus eliminating the need for child care - while directly contributing to the success of their student’s school. We operate at optimal levels when we are fully staffed with IAs.
If you are interested in joining our team, please contact your building principal or assistant principal or click here to apply. If you have any questions about these opportunities, please contact Stacy McGuire, Assistant Director of Human Resources, at mcguires@wws.k12.in.us.
