Daily Life of a Peasant

Daily Life

-Most of the peasants would wake up as early as 3 AM.

-Usually their breakfast would consist of pottage or other cheap ingredients.

-After that, they would work in the fields or do common daily tasks.

-Their outside work would usually be done at dusk, longer in the summer.

-The tools they made would be made themselves out of wood or steel.

-Woman peasants would eat after their husbands and children finished.


-A king or lord wouldn't usually acknowledge peasants but they did have to do certain things for them like pay taxes.

-A peasant would sometimes have to work for knights in order for them to get land and protection.

-Nobles would have to try and recruit them and persuade them to come into the villages' legion.
