BATTLE OF THE BOOKS!
Groves Families:
The library is currently accepting applications from interested 4th & 5th grade Grizzlies for our Battle of the Books Competition Teams. The Elementary Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading program and trivia competition for fourth & fifth grade students in Humble ISD. Interested students can find an application on the library webpage at https://www.humbleisd.net/site/default.aspx?PageID=131595 These are due by Wednesday, Sept. 14th. There are only 18 spots available. New members will be notified by Friday, Sept. 16th.
Important Information from the Nurse
* It is always a great idea for ALL students to have a complete change of clothing in their backpacks--Especially Kinder, 1st, and 2nd. Clothes are not just for restroom accidents: spilled food-ketchup, milk, syrup are the most frequent offenders; MUD, lots of mud; paint; cuts, tears, and rips; uncomfortable
* All medications MUST be brought to the clinic by an adult. This includes inhalers and Epipens.
* It has been brought to our attention that some cell phones register the clinic number as SCAM LIKELY. Please program 281-641-5005 as the School Nurse so you will know when we are calling you for your child.
* We will start screening our Grizzlies vision and hearing this month. Please make sure your student is wearing or bringing prescription glasses to school daily.
Thank you!!
