Tiger Times
Burt Elementary February 2024
A Note From Dr. Funderburk and Ms. Keesler
We would like to take a moment to thank Ms. Mathis for her service to Burt the last several years and congratulate her on her new role as Principal at the Early Learning Center! She has transitioned to that role to prepare for the opening of this new program.
Mrs. Keesler and I are excited to step up and continue leading Burt for the remainder of this year. We will ensure student learning continues and the focus is finishing out the school year strong! We are glad to finally be back in a routine with our students and staff after the extended breaks. We are working towards major goals this semester, preparing for state testing, and getting ready for all of the fun spring events to come in the future. That being said, attendance is still critical in the last four months of the school year. As always, if you ever need anything feel free to reach out to us here at the school. We look forward to continuing to work with our Tiger families!
