Gresham Go - To
Weekly Staying Connected
Week of October 19 - 25
The Holy Spirit moved in church yesterday - we pray that God stirred your hearts! Let's continue to pray for our family in Gresham who are experiencing sickness, loneliness, loss and more. But as we sang at church - "Our Savior loves, our Savior lives, my Savior's always there for me. My God; He was, my God: He is, My God; is always gonna be."
As we continue meeting in the church, we want to share with you our hearts. We would LOVE as a church to allow you to worship and meet how you want - mask or no mask. However, that kind of blended model can only lead to confusion. So, with that said, we want to clearly ask that all participants and leaders, during all programs and worship services, please support us in the decision to wear your masks indoors as guided by the State and our Salvation Army leadership. We don't want to jeopardize being able to meet together. So, let's do our best to keep these practices in mind.
God bless you,
Majors Celestine and Shoshannah Ruwethin
A BIG THANK YOU!!
2020 Cascade SAY Rally
From the Territorial Music Department - They want to see you!
Dear Friends,
On Sunday November 22 we will be holding an online Territorial Thanksgiving Worship service.
Following the final part of the sermon we are finishing the service with the congregational song “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”. We are asking 60 + family units from around the territory to take part in this and we’d like you and your family to be part of this massive congregational song. Please note that “family” is whomever you see as family, husband, wife & kids, or nieces and nephews, or you and a parent, you and your siblings, cousins etc. etc.. (HOWEVER please do not break any COVID regulations for gatherings based upon your local authority)
Please note that you DO not to be concerned about the quality of your singing! We are more concerned with video.
*If you would like to participate - please let Major Shoshannnah know. She'll email you the easy directions on how to do this.*

COVID Information you might want to know:
We will be following the State guidelines as listed below. If you haven't seen some of this information, we hope this is helpful for you. We are still in Phase 1.
Hello Faith Leaders,
The Oregon Health Authority, at the direction of Governor Brown, has released updated guidance that may impact your faith community gatherings.
Here are a few highlights:
Face Coverings (includes masks and face shields):
1. Face coverings will be mandatory for individuals 5 years of age and older for all indoor faith gatherings and, outdoors when 6 feet of physical distancing cannot be maintained.
2. Previously, face coverings were required for ages 12 and older.
3. All individuals attending indoor gatherings now need to wear face coverings (mask or face shield) at all times, even when teaching, preaching or singing. The only exemption is for someone playing an instrument requiring mouth to instrument contact.
4. Note - if you are not holding an in-person event, but are simply live streaming or recording services without an audience, face coverings for teachers, preachers and musicians are not required as long as 6 feet of physical distancing is maintained.
Updated Gathering limits:
1. Phase 1 Counties -
2. Indoor & Outdoor faith-based, civic and cultural gatherings = 50 people
3. Physical distancing of 6 feet between households must be maintained. To determine maximum occupancy, 35 square feet of space per person is needed in the room holding the gathering.

Church Collection Goals
The Salvation Army's joy is to serve people in the name of the Lord. During this time, even more people need help. Families, businesses, and the church are financially struggling. This is where we as individuals can step out in faith and give to God what is His. Then we watch Him work.
The tithes, offering, and World Services collected help support this ministry's budget. We ask that you pray and determine with/for the Lord what you will commit to financially in this next budget year October 2020 - September 2021. Help invest into this church.
Click on the link to see what our small goals are for this year. We pray that we'll be able to out give ourselves!
