Summer Adventure Round-Up This summer, travel to Costa Rica, the National Museum of Natural History, on an ocean research vessel, and more! It's time to apply for teacher summer adventures. I've been highlighting various (FREE) workshops and trips on my blog, and have prepared a round-up of my favorites. | Word Read Aloud Day (AKA free author visits) February 16 is World Read-Aloud Day (WRAD) and a variety of authors offer free Skype visits to celebrate the day. If you are a preK-8 teacher, you can apply for a grant to purchase a classroom pet and supplies, and reapply annually to keep your pet’s food bowl stocked. (And yes, this is my pet rat.) |
